Application Advantages of Laser Galvanometer in Lidar

1. How is the laser scanning galvanometer applied to the radar field?

Lidar is a radar detection system that emits laser beams to detect the specific position, velocity and other basic characteristics of the target. The basic principle is that the laser is used as the signal source, and the pulsed laser emitted by the laser is scattered to the flowers, trees, roads, roads, bridges and buildings on the floor by the swing of the laser galvo system, and a small part of the light waves are reflected to the floor. On the lidar receiver, the height of the laser and the laser scanning angle of view can be fused to accurately calculate the coordinates of each floor spot.

Using the pulsed laser to scan the target again and again, the data information of all the target points on the target is obtained. After completing the imaging processing with this data information, an accurate 3D stereo image can be obtained. Lidar is an advanced detection form that integrates laser technology and contemporary photoelectric detection technology. In addition to obtaining three-dimensional geographic information, it is also widely used in resource exploration, urban planning and construction, agricultural development, water conservancy projects, and land resources. Various fields such as utilization, environmental monitoring, transportation and communication, earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, and unmanned driving.

2. The working frequency of laser scanning galvanometer radar is much higher than that of microwave, and has the following advantages

(1) High resolution.

(2) Good concealment and strong anti-active interference ability. The laser scanning galvanometer propagates in a straight line, has good directivity, and has a very narrow beam. It can only be received on the opposite path of its dispersal. Therefore, it is very difficult for the other side to intercept. There are not many signal sources that can interfere with lidar in nature, so the professional ability to resist active interference is very strong.

(3) The low-altitude detection performance indicators are good. Due to the interference of various ground object echoes in microwave radar detection, there are corresponding blind spots at low altitudes. Compared with lidar, only the irradiated target will cause reflection, and there will be no interference from ground object echoes at all, so it can work at "zero height".

(4) Small size and light weight.
